Professional triathlete and Argonaut Magali Tisseyre secured 2nd position at Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga, in Tennessee, on Sunday.
A Strong Start
Mighty Mags notched a 25:15 swim split to start the day in the women’s pro race, with Jeanni Seymour, Katie Thomas, and Ashley Clifford 24 seconds behind.
Even though Heather Jackson exited the water one minute off Magali’s lead, she put her head down and aimed toward the front immediately. Her strong cycling legs made quick work of the rolling Chattanooga course, where she passed eight competitors to take the lead by mile 20.
Tisseyre held on to her 2nd spot and crossed 6:38 behind Jackson for second place with a total time of 4:18:33.
